Mr. Feng currently serves as a Research Fellow at the Division of Social Development Research of the DRC, and has authored over 100 publications in Chinese, Japanese, and English. Mr. Feng was the main author of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Report titled: “2015/16 China Human Development Report: Social Innovation for Inclusive Human Development” and “Achieving the UN’s Health-Related Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in China: Developing a Country Case Report on Evidence-Based Policy Action Recommendations”.
In 2000, after graduating from the Department of Sociology of Renmin University of China, Feng was sent to Japan to study abroad. In 2006, he received a doctorate from Tokyo University in Agriculture and Technology, specializing in agricultural economics and sociology. He has served as a special researcher at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in Japan and a special researcher at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. In April 2009, he returned to China to join the China Development Research Foundation, where he served as project director and director of research department. In June 2015, Feng was transferred to the Development Research Center of the State Council.
Mr. Feng’s research focuses on development studies, including population issues, health care, rural development and urbanization, income distribution and social security.
