J. Lowry Curley, PhD is the CEO of AxoSim. Lowry received his PhD at Tulane University in biomedical engineering. He then completed postdoctoral research in Antwerp, Belgium developing neural engineering technology in collaboration with Janssen Pharmaceuticals. Subsequently, Lowry was the Director of Product Development with a startup company commercializing pharmaceutical research products. His passion for translating scientific breakthroughs to market adoption led him to co-found AxoSim in 2014 with the mission of enabling advancements in human health, so that patients in need can get the care they deserve. AxoSim’s Nerve-on-a-Chip platform is revolutionizing the search for cures to the most devastating neurodegenerative diseases in the world. Lowry has presented at international industry conferences, is named on several patents, and has received over $3.5M in small business awards, including from the National Institute of Health and National Science Foundation.
