Gabe is the Scientific Director for Leidos’ Explorations in Global Health (ExGloH) Division. ExGloH is discovering and pre-clinically testing a novel class of peptide-based immuno-modulators for use not only in cancer but for safe application in infectious disease vaccines. Prior to his role as scientific director of ExGloH, Gabe was a senior program manager at Leidos Life Science where he maintained a portfolio of vaccine and bio-therapeutic programs in the public health space including cancer, malaria and HBV. Additionally, Gabe was PI on two U.S. government funded malaria vaccine development contracts worth over $100M, where he directed the design and development of over 20 malaria vaccine concepts (4 of which entered clinical trial). Gabe received his B.S. from Loyola University Chicago, Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Connecticut, and post-doctoral work in cancer cell cycle at Harvard Medical School and Tufts-NEMC.
