Wenseng “Wendy” Pan is a partner in Goodwin’s Life Sciences group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, technology-based transactions and strategic collaborations primarily in the life sciences industry and in cross-border settings. She has advised private equity firms in leveraged buyouts and has represented companies in the financial, technology, media and telecom, biopharmaceutical, manufacturing, publishing, electronics, and retail sectors in stock and cash acquisitions, mergers, tender offers and going-private transactions. She also represents venture capital firms and startup and growth-stage companies in venture capital and pre-IPO financings.
As a former scientist and a registered U.S. patent lawyer, Ms. Pan is uniquely positioned to counsel clients on intellectual property issues in non-contentious settings. She has advised life sciences and technology companies in structuring and negotiating complex IP-based transactions and other commercial arrangements, including product and technology licensing, strategic partnerships and joint venture formations, research, product development and commercialization collaborations, as well as mergers and acquisitions and private investments.
Prior to joining Goodwin in 2019, Ms. Pan was a partner at Sidley Austin LLP. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
