Philadelphia and Kobe, Japan might be a world away from each other, but the cities share a long history, mutual affection and common economic drivers. As Philadelphia and Kobe celebrate their 40th anniversary as sister cities, we also celebrate both cities’ flourishing life sciences ecosystems. Kobe - and cities across Japan – are laser-focused on cutting-edge research like gene therapy and editing that deeply impact local and global healthcare.
On the heels of the BIO International Convention, we’ll take a look at how Japan has built a collaborative life sciences innovation ecosystem. How do government, corporations, and start-ups contribute to the fabric of Japan’s legacy of innovation? How does that scale to inform global partnerships? We are delighted to collaborate with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to explore these questions through presentations, activations, and light Japanese fare and beverages.
This event is free and open to the public.
