Named one of Time 100’s most influential people, Siddhartha Mukherjee is the author of The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize in general nonfiction. His latest work, New York Times Bestseller The Gene: An Intimate History, was recognized as one of the most influential books of 2016 by The Washington Post and The New York Times.
Mukherjee’s accomplishments in writing and education build on his pioneering work as a cancer physician and researcher. An Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, he is a Rhodes scholar and graduate of Stanford University, University of Oxford, and Harvard Medical School. He has published articles in Nature, The New England Journal of Medicine, The New York Times, and Cell.
